| SEARCH TIPS |
There are two ways to search the marketplace; by category and by keyword.
Below are instructions to help you get the most out of both search
methods.
Category Search
The
category search
is what is displayed by default when you first visit
the marketplace. You may select a category from the list box or click on
a category from the category list in the middle of the screen. When doing
a category search, you will be reviewing all the businesses that fall
within a certain category. If you are unsure what category your business
falls into or you are concerned that the business you are looking for may
be in several different categories, you may want to consider doing a
keyword search.
Keyword Search
The keyword search is the most powerful way to use the Marketplace. You
may type a word or phrase into the keywords box to locate companies
related to specific terms or phrases. In addition, you can search for
companies that have a specific name, address, city or phone number of
filling in the appropriate blanks.
If you are doing a keyword search, you may use the (+) and (-) signs in
the keywords box to indicate which words should and shouldn't appear. For
example, if you type +siding +builders into the
keywords box, only businesses that are associated with the words
siding and builders will be found. If you were to type
+home -builders into the keywords box, only
business that are associated with the word home and not associated
with the word builders will be found. You may also use quotes (")
to surround phrases in your search.
